Full Moon Dreamboard :: Full Frost Moon

This moon is the Full Frost Moon. Let's celebrate by releasing our worries and embracing our dreams. To participate in Full Moon Dreamboards, visit Jamie Ridler Studios.

The Full Frost Moon asks: “What is clear about your dreams? What further clarity do you seek?”

This dreamboard relates to what I've been experiencing lately and what I shared early for Wishcasting Wednesday. Right now I'm seeking to discover my life purpose and define my goals. I stumbled across this picture while flipping through magazines and felt drawn to it because she seems so free and grounded. I love the sheer joy this lady expresses in this photo. I want to be this carefree and centered. All the words popped off the magazine pages and were clearly meant to go with this image along with the quote from Swami Kripalu, "Truth destroys the walls between hearts and transforms even strangers and enemies into loved ones." Perfect!

This week's prompt:

What clarity do you wish for?

The recurring theme in my life as of late is discovering my life purpose. I truly believe that each of us have been placed here for a reason and with a mission to fulfill. Some days I feel like I'm stumbling through life with no goal or destination. Other days I can begin to sense that purpose but have no idea how to reach it or how to cause it to become fully visible. So today I am wishing for my north star to become brighter and clearer so that I can work towards it.

Always,

AEDM :: Day 28

Welcome to Day 28 of Art Every Day Month!

This canvas is a work in progress that I randomly apply a little paint, a few hearts, and more texture every so often. I'll eventually finish it. This is my canvas of love in many ways!

 In keeping with the love and heart theme...

AEDM :: Day 27

Welcome to Day 27 of Art Every Day Month!

Yesterday I shared a post on DIY Laundry Detergents + Cleaners and mentioned a recipe for Rosemary Mint Fabric Softener that I wanted to try. Well, I ended up making it and trying it out on a couple loads and was fairly pleased with the results. It does smell nicer than just the vinegar (which is what I have been using) but it still has a strong vinegar smell. Not a smell that's easy to cover up! :-) It does soften the laundry but so does vinegar by itself. It's not all-natural once the conditioner is added. Now if essential oils were used instead it would seem more worthwhile to make. When this batch is gone I'll experiment with an essential oil recipe.

Gently mix ingredients together and pour into container.

Overall, it's less perfumey than the store offered variety, leaves laundry fresh, and better smelling than vinegar used alone.

AEDM :: Day 26

Welcome to Day 26 of Art Every Day Month!

Today's project is fabric-covered planters. These weren't as easy as it seems because it takes a little work to keep the fabric from puckering.

I cut my fabric strips a couple inches wider and longer. It's best to have to trim fabric then to not have enough.

I applied a coat of Mod Podge to the terra cotta pot and then pressed the fabric down firmly. I found it easier to cut small slits on the top to prevent puckering. Wrap around the top and bottom of pot and cut excess fabric. Apply a couple coats of Mod Podge to seal.

Today I'm rocking my new infinity scarf (made with Amy Butler fabric) from Horsefeathers Gifts and my ruby red hair.

Can't forget the pink shoes!

And filling the well...

...with so much goodness!
